Island Vibes @ Patty Boom Boom

Another successful night at one of DC’s newest reggae hot spots Patty Boom Boom. Every now and then I’ll come through and spin a reggae set but you know I like to play that classic reggae dancehall. If some of the crowd had it there way I’d be playing Vybz Kartel all night. It’s all good though..got to give the people what they want and need!!  The place was packed all night and I’m looking forward to playing here again. Big up Darryl “D Trane” (The Archives) keeping me in the loop.

The place to be for people who don’t to deal with the flashing lights, bottle poppin’, long line, angry bouncer, over priced drinks, puppet DJ, atmosphere. Every first thursday I get down with some of the funkiest tunes imaginable and some rare breaks as well. That’s not all..nope that’s just the beginning as I’ll be preparing to bring a variety of artist to perform both locally and abroad. In the mean time stay tuned and hope to see you in the house as the Dj Eskimo Show presents FUNK N’ STUFF!!

Native Tongue tribute

The Native Tongues Tribute Jam was a success! I didn’t expect to get the response that I did. People really enjoyed themselves and I had folks thanking me for putting it together…and ya know someone actually walked away with the posted I created. I had it laminated and everything. I planned on starting a collection of posters from my events so at the end of the night I went to take the poster off of the wall and there’s no poster!!?? Someone metioned to me that it was a good sign letting me know that people enjoyed it. Oh well…I just wish I had my logo or name on there but I’ll know next time.
